Zoning Suppliers To Dairy Fadories
(To the Editor.) 6ir, —I read with very great surprise in your Friday’s paper that it has ail been practically settled about zoning suppliers to dairy factories in this district. What I wish to ask of you is a question which must bo running in the minds of nearly every dairyfurmcr affected by this zoning proposal, vi:\: Have the suppliers no voico whatever in a very important matter of this nature? Are we to be zoned to any one factory whether we like it or not? Surely, there is some option left as to which factory a farmer can send nis own cream. I am a supplier to a co-opera-tive company and it renders good service to us in this district. Are my rights as a shareholder in that company going to be taken away from me? The principle of this scheme must mean a tremendous amount of disruption amongst the hundreds of farmers who will be affected as it will mean a complicated sorting up and it would be interesting to know just how many suppliers will have to change from their present factories, how much butterfat will change from one factory to another and if there will be any savings at all in the scheme that will make it worth while for all this disruption. —J am, etc., C. SMITH.
