About a dozen members of the Piri Piri-Glengarry Women’s Institute assembled on the railway platform on Wednesday afternoon to greet Miss E. Bartholomew, an English visitor to the Dominion, who was passing through Dannevirke en route to Napier. Miss Bartholomew is a member of the Women’s Institute at Capel, Surrey. This institute i 3 the Piri Piri-Glengarry Institute’s English link, and the two organisations correspond regularly, thereby giving and gaining useful information. Miss Bartholomew proved to be an interesting personality and the members greatly enjoyed meeting someone whom they had known only as a correspondent.
