Pope Accuses Nazis Of Violating Concordat
GERMAN ANTI-CHRISTIAN MOVEMENT. United Press Association—By Elec trie Telegraph.—Copyright Received Monday, 9.20 p.m. LONDON, March 21. The Times’ Berlin correspondent says in an encyclical read throughout Germany the Pope accuses the Nazis of violating the Concordat of 1933 and encouraging the anti-Christian ino\ement. He says he will not formally denounce the Concordat because the responsibility of the souls entrusted to his care prevents his ignoring the remaining possibilities of an understanding.
