Th# presentation of prises and awards to'scholars attending the school, which was postponed prior to the break-up belore Christinas, took place at the school on March 12 Mr Abraham (neadmaster) addreesed the children and thanked the members of the committee and the ladies present for their attendance. The presentations were made by Mr A. F. McKensie chairman of tho school committee, who congratulated the children on their work, especially those who received special prises, namely: Senior, Haxel Dlttmer. excellence in needlework (Alisa Scheldt’s SDCclal); Junior, Ralph Hooper, excellence in handwork (Miss Scheldt’s special)’ Brenda Hooper, excellence In needlework (Miss Scheldt's special); Ivan Harris, excellence ln handwork (Alisa Scheldt’s special); dux medal (donated by M-J Scheldt), Russel Jackson; runner-up for dux (Messrs G. The Harvest Festival thanksgiving services were held in the Methodist Church on Sunday when both morning and evening services were well attended, preacher In the morning wa* Woodfleld. and in the •vemna the Rev. C Foeton. The church presented a pleas:ing spectacle with the generous display fruit and vegetables. On Monday a soclal evening was held when was disposed of and a substantial sum was raised. During the evening were rendered by Mrs Hennesey and Miss Shffley Guy. The Rev. Foeton thanked all for their donations and help through the festival functions. Personal.
