Easter Races at Feilding
BIG MEETING FORESHADOWED. The Feilding Jockey Club's Easter race meeting opens on Saturday next and special arrangements are being made in anticipation of large holiday patronage. Patrons are notified that the club intends opening all the available windows in the totalisator house and lawn patrons will find eleven 10s windows, six £1 windows and one £5 window available for their use while nine windows will be open on the outer. Special arrangements are being made for cashing of tickets for which purpose there will be eighteen windows available on the lawn and eight on the outer. The club assures patrons of 100 per cent, service and strongly recommends that investments be made early as the machine will close promptly on time. A special indicator will be used to show patrons the dividends during the progress of the investments, in addition to the figures being displayed on the face of the totalisator. To ensure the best advantage in the matter of car parking the club invites motorists to make a point of arriving early. Motorists from Wellington and the West Coast are reminded to use the Awahuri road entrance to the parking lawn. Cars using that entrance will be so parked that they will be able to make an easy exit by the same way after the last race. The club offers the best possible car parking accommodation and it is in the hands of the motorist to obtain the best advantage of these facilities by coming early. Some idea of the organisation necessary for tho operation of the totalisator at Feilding may bo gauged from the fact that one hundred hands will be employed in the building during the meeting.
