The cricket match between Halcombe and Atarton played on the local recreation ground, resulted in a first innings win by 65 runs, the home team,' after a bad start, scoring 108 runs, while the visitors could muster but 43. The Halcombe Football Club held its annual meeting on Wednesday evening, when there was a good attendance. Air A. Siegel presided. The annual report was read and the balance sheet showed a credit balance of £6 4s 6d. The election of officers resulted as follows: Patron, Air J. Heappey; president, Air A. Siegel; vicepresidents: Messrs W. Moore. H. Harris, W. Alcßennan, P. Rasmussen. C. Abbiss, ,W. S. Page, C. Callingtiam, and N. Goyle; delegates to Union, Messrs F. Al. Saywell and A. Pettigrew; secretary and treasurer, Mr B. Pye (re-elected). It was decided that a senior and junior team bo entered and a third grade team if this competition eventuates. Coaches: Messrs N. Kane, W. Dais and A. Pettigrew; management committee: Alessrs Saywell, Kane, Pettigrew, W. Dais, Pye and A .Siegel; social committee: Messrs A. Pettigrew, W. Dais, T. Clapham, A. Siegel. B. Pye. B. Williams, T. Miles, S. Maxwell and J. Dais; selectors: Messrs Kane, Dais, Pettigrew, and Pye; club captain, Air W. Dais. Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. T?'or his sterling services to the club, Mr. W. S. Page was elected an honorary member. Air F. Spooner, who will shortly be leaving the district, was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his services.
