From Our Own Correspondent. Personal Miss Nancy Drysuaie is spending a few days in Wellington. Mr and Mrs J. K. Mason are spending a few days with relatives at Mungaroa. Mr and Mrs J. A D.aysh, ot Dunedin, are the guests of their son, Mr J. L. Daysii. Tennis During the week-ena tho Nireaha Tennis Club team played the Rongokokako team oh the local courts. This is Nireaha's last match in the Greathead Challenge Cup competition. Nireaha wore soundly beaten by tho visiting team, who now have to beat tho Hasiwell team to draw level .with them, m the competition. The result was Rongokakako 15 sets and 124 games, Nireaha 9 sets and 99 games. At the conclusion of the match Mr F. Goggin, president of the visiting club, extended thanks to the Nireaha members for their hospitality. He also extended thanks to Mr H. E. Greathead (who was present ac the match) for his generosity in donating a cup for competition. All matches to be played to 31 points, with a winning advantage of two points. Bible Class. Thirteen members attended the recent moeting of the local Bible Class. A good discussion took place, the evening being one of the best yet experienced. Efforts are being made to get some members to attend the Easter camp to be held at Atasterton. The next class meeting will be held on Tuesday evening, Alarch 30. Rifle Shooting. The second triangular match of this year’s series was fired under good shooting conditions. High shooting was the order of the day, with Tararua leading Alfredton by two points. Taiarua have now a three-point lead from Alfredton. and with one shoot to go an interesting finish should eventuate. The individual championship is also in an Interesting position, four points separating the five leading riflemen. Following are the detailed results of the shoot, seven shots being fired at the 300yds., 500yds, and 600yds ranges:— Tararua: N. C. Petersen 33. 33, 34—100: H. C. Rasmussen 34, 34. 32—100; G. Tararua won the cup by a margin of 22 points. The individual championship was won by Rifleman W. W. Drysdale, with a score of 195, Rifleman L. Sigvertsen being the runner-up with a score of 194.
