St. Patrick’s Day Again Celebrated

LARGE CROWD ON DANCING BENT. A very festive scene was presented last night at the Empire Hall on the occasion of the St. Patrick's Day ball in aid of Convent funds. A kaleidoscopic group of dancers "tripped the light fantastic” against an artistic background of streamers and foliage in which green was the predominating note. Tho decorations which had been most artistically carried out by Mesdames D. Lyons and R. Jervis, were complete with the Irish shamrock and the golden harp. These together with the green buttonholes which num erous dancers wore created a truly patriotic atmosphere. The large crowd kept time to a pro fessional orchestra and extras supplied by Air. Paul. Novelty dances including many Monte Carlos were enjoyed until the small hours of the morning. Those in charge of the supper arrangements were Mesdames R. Summers, D. Power, D. VV. Creed, V. A. Christensen and other officials were Messrs. W. Creed, T. Beadle, P. McErlaine, F. O'Connor, J. Ahearnc, E. Tottman, W. Bearsley, J. Redwood. Alessrs. H. Hughes and F. W. Aisher made efficient M'sC.
