Decline of And-Religious Movement in Russia
HUGE DROP IN LEAGUE MEMBERSHIP. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyrlcnt. Received Thursday, 9.50 p.m. MOSCOW, March 11. The anti-religious movement in Russia is apparently declining. It is officially announced that membership of the Godless League has dwindled from 5,000,000 in 1933 to less than 2,000,000. Five antireligious colleges have closed and the Communist League of Youth is also reported to have abandoned its anti-religious efforts.
