Rongotea
From Our Own Correspondent Football Club. The annual ipeeting of the Rongotea Football Club was held on Wednesday when Mr W. A. Davison presided over a splendid attendance of members. The credit of £l4 3s disclosed by the balance sheet was deemed to be most satisfactory in view of the unusual number of accidents, which constituted a serious drain on the funds. The president, Mr W. A. Da-vison, then read the report, which recorded that the year proved a most successful one. Thanks were due to the secretary for the capable manner in which he carried out his duties, to the referee«s, to Mr A. Trenkner for lending his car, to those who gave donations, and to the ladies. A ball and a social evening were held during the season and both proved successful. Congratulations are due to the seniors on winning the McKelvie Shield, Fagan Cup and Jones Cup; also to those players who gained representative honours in both senior and junior teams, and to the juniors, who had quite a number of wins. Glover and Misa Lily Glover have returned to Rongotea. Miss A. Hunt is on a visit to her brother at Auckland. Tennis. The Carnarvon Tennis Club visited Rongotea and the match resulted in a draw.
