New Play by Shaw

LEAGUE OF NATIONS SUBJECT LONDON, Feb. 1. Mr Bernard Shaw- is writing a play entitled “Geneva," about the League of Nations. He hopes to have it ready for the Malvern Festival this year, and he has already completed two acts and a-half. England is described by name, but the other countries are Ruritanian. The characters are entirely fictitious, and Mr. Shaw says he will be interested to sec how many people recognise them- I selves, especially as the dictators, who arc the leading characters. Air. Shaw admits having attended a session of the League Assembly some years ago, but he said; “My play does not resemble anything that actually takes placo at Geneva. If I reproduced exactly what I heard it would make u dull play."
