A surgeon bandaged tho wound and tho seconds vainly urged reconciliation. Tho duel resumed. M. Vazcony was wounded in the neck in the eighth round and broke his knee in tho fourteenth. A Budapest mcssa'go on November 24 stated that, seeking to vindicate tho honour of his wife, which had allegedly boon aspersed, Dr. Francis Hargo challenged nine mer. to duels. Ho fought tho first two duels with pistols socretly in a stubble field on the outskirts of tho city. His first opponent was wounded in the arm and taken to hospital. Jn tho second duel both parties missed and become reconciled. A third duel was stopped by the police after Dr. Sargo had inflicted a four-inch wound in hia opponent's head.
