Masterton’s Diamond Jubilee
SERIES OF FUNCTIONS ARRANGED. Per Press Association. MABTERTON, Last Night. The diamond jubilee of Masterton Borough and of tho establishment of a stato school in Masterton, and the goldeu jubilee of tho Masterton A. and P. Association, aro being celebrated this week. A notable gathering was hold this afternoon when a procession of expupils and teachers of tho school numbering upwards of 1000 inarched to tho park headed by the High School Pipe Band. At tho park, after a roll call of early pupils, ad dr exes wore given by tbo Mayor, Mr. T. Jordan, and Minister of Education, Hon. P. Fraser. Events this week include tho Masterton Hhow on Tuesday and Wednesday and a reunion gathering of various kinds.
