Preparing for the Coronation
PICTURESQUE AND SIGNIFICANT. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Sunday, 9.20 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 17. Already more than half a million copies have been ordered of the Coronation official programme which is being published on April 23rd. It will con tain a map of the route and the chief buildings are indicated so that overseas listeners will be able to follow by wireless the whole procession as well as the actual ceremony. The Coronation will be described in detail.
The newspapers, in their editorial columns, emphasise the picturesqueness and significance of the pageants for which the Coronation has provided, pointing out that for nearly three , months until August events will follow in rapid succession, no week being without some great celebration which, in words of the Times, radiate the loyalty and sense of imperial destiny binding the peoples of the Dominions. Australian War Nurses To Go MELBOURNE, Jan. 16. Six nurses who served overseas during the war are to be selected to accompany the Defence Services Coronation contingent. One nurso will be selected in each State.
