Italy Agrees to Limit Size of Guns
WILL JAPAN FOLLOW SUIT? Received Sunday, 9.30 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 17. A coincidence occurred wihile a large ptrty of the Foreign Press Association were on au official visit to Portsmouth. As they were viewing the Nelson’s 16-inch guns it was simultaneously an nounced that Italy had accepted the restriction to 14-inch guns. Only Japan now has not accepted and she has until April Ito decide. If Japan declines the limit will remain at 16, probably forcing the United .States protectively to adopt a standard lead ing to an ultimate all-round increase 1 *" •'■"'niucnt outlays
