Export of Pigs
LIGHTER GRADES ADVANCED LAMB SCHEDULE UNCHANGED An increase of £d per lb. in the buying schedule for pigs in tho two lightweight grades has been made by exporters for the current week’s killings, states the New Zealand Herald. The rates are now 6ld and 6d per lb. respectively. There has been no change in other grades. Lambs, which are now keeping the works operating at capacity, also remain at last week’s rates, while no schedule for beef buying has been issued yet. Schedule prices for lambs and pigs ou hooks at freezing works at Southdown for this week’s killings are as follow: Lambs: Up to 361 b., B£d; 371 b. to 421 b., 81d; over 421 b., 8d; seconds, 73d; shorn, Id less all grades. Pigs: Up to Solb., Gid; 811 b. to \ 1001 b., fid; 1011 b. to 1201 b., ssd; 1211 b. to 1601 b., 53d; 1611 b. to 1801 b., 4 3-Sd; 1811 b. to 2001 b., 2£d; over 2001 b., 2d; choppers, exportable, 2Jd; porkers, uuexportable, Id less; baconers, unexi portable, over 1201 b., Id less; .choppers, unexportable, Id per lb.
