Thieves stole £2OOO worth of jewellery from the hotel bedroom of Jean llackett, the 27-year-old daughter of an Australian, the late Sir Winthrop Hacket. The bedroom door was forced during dinner and a leather suit-case containing the jewellery was ripped open.
