Returning to Work Under Protest
STA r :3 MINERS’ DISPUTE OVER HOLIDAY Per Press Association. GREYMOUTH, Last Night. The State Miners’ Union, which has a dispute with the department regarding non-payment for the King’s Birthday and which consequently has not worked for two days before the holidays, decided to-day at a meeting to resume work after the holidays under protest. The Minister of Mines (Hon. P. C. Webb) advised that Cabinet would consider the matter.
