SUPPORTERS EXPRESS CONFIDENCE Per Press Association. ELTHAM, Dec. 16. At a well-attended meeting at Opunake yesterday of Mr. C. A. Wilkinson’s supporters from all over the Egmont electorate, the following resolution was adopted unanimously: “That this meeting of representatives of the districts within tho Egmont electorate expresses it continued confidence in Mr. C. A. Wilkinson as their Parliamentary representative and it realises that Mr. Wilkinson in joining the National Party was actuated by the wish to see a party of progress formed and is prepared to support him in any further steps that he considers necessary if the National Party does not prove to be advanced and progressive and representative of modern thought; and particularly the meeting asks Mr. Wilkinson to continue to offer his service as representative of Egmont electorate in Parliament.
