Application for Mortgage Adjustments

0000 APPLICATIONS FROM ONE DISTRICT ALONE Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. No general statistical returns of applications for Anancial relief under the Mortgagors and Lessees Rehabilitation Aet have yet been received in Wellington but there are indications of a fairly substantial request for farm and property mortgage adjustments. The Attor-ney-General, Hon. H. G. K. Mason, said tho only returns of applications available so far were from tho Christchurch district. In this centre there were approximately COOO applications for mortgage adjustment. This in itself gave an indication of the ultimate aggregate for the whole Dominion. The Minister emphasised that the closing date for giving notice to guarantors was December 31 of this year, while the closing date for making applications for adjustment on January 31, 1937.
