The Palmerston North Fire Brigade was called to Jersey lane yesterday afternoon to suppress a fire which had broken out in a large heap of shavings in an open yard. No damage was done.

The headmaster said the staff's difficulties in distinguishing between the-twins had recently been aggravated by their achievements on the playing field and in school. “They dead-heated in the school steeplechase and now we find they have tied for the form prize.” said the headmaster.
