Bridge Party Aids Tennis Club Pavilion Funds

A. most successful bridge party, which it is hoped will be one of a series, was held in the new pavilion at the Palmerston North Lawn Tennis Club grounds, Linton street, on Tuesday evening, tho function having been organised to raise funds to liquidate the 'the debt on the building. Fifteen tables were occupied, quite a number of players participating in progressive bridge. At the conclusion of play the prize-winners proved to-be Mrs New and Mr Wilson, Aliss J, Mcßae securing tk trophy for the lucky number. Messrs J. ,T. McDonald (president), and Ci' C. Yates organised the bridge, and members of the social committe--comprising Misses J. Barnett, D. Hag gitt, Alesdames ' Yates, Robinson, R Chisholm and Anderson, were responsible for the social side and the nice supper that was served, in a setting of gay sweet peas.
