When accosted by a.detective and a Customs official just as he was going to board the Limited express at, Wellington, for Auckland, on Monday night, Basil Prancis Pocock, seaman, aged 26, admitted having 20 tins of opium in a suitcase he was carrying. He was brought before Mr. Raymond Perner, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court, Wellington on Tuesday, charged with being in possession of a dangerous drug and w'as fined £25, the minimum penalty.
