Mounting Death-roll In Asia Minor Floods
PEOPLE TERROR STRICKEN United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. ANGORA, Dec. 8. As a result of the floods over three hundred persons were drowned in the province of Adana, and thousands were injured. Fifty thousand persons are homeless, and thousands of men, women and children, practically unclothed, are wandering terror stricken in an endeavour to escape the floods. A thousand houses were destroyed. The damage is estimated at £500,000.
Thousands Dead or Missing’ in Philippine* Received Wednesday, 8.45 p-m. •MANILA, Dee. 8. Army ’planes were assigned to rush to the* aid of the Cagayan valley where thousands are dead or missing as a result of the flood. The waters cover hundreds of miles of farming area.
