From Our Own Correspondent

To-day two tennis teams will be engaged in play. The team to have played the A team will not be available, so a match has been arranged against Bunr.ythorpe. Those required are: Mrs Oxenham, Misses M. Vautier E. Woodd and H. Woodd, Messrs S. Oxenham. W. Vautier, F. Greene and F. Kensington. The B team will be represented by Misses M. Sly, M. Hodgson, G. O’Brien and J. Wood, Messrs F. Eagle, W. Lacey'. 11. Gore and I. Vautier; emergencies, Miss E. Vautier and K, Sly. A good number of Whakarongo ladies travelled to Ashhurst and were successful in the flower show held on Thursday. Mrs T. Christensen has a visitor, Mrs Gascoigne, staying with her at present. We have experienced some very wet weather of late and fields are very sodden. Mrs E. Wakelin is a Carterton visitor staying with Mrs E. Lancaster.
