Satisfaction with tho returns obtained at the recent wool salo from wool produced on the Auckland city council's farm at Motuibi Island was expressed by members of tho city council parks committee when .they visited the island. It was stated the council obtained an average of 1/4 a pound for its Wool, tho total cheque amounting to approximately £SOO. The city council is farming about 500 acres on the island. It was seen that the pastures were in, excellent condition, and all stock appeared to be thriving well. At present i there are 1500 sheop grazing on the! island as w r ell as 65 cattle. The farm this season has sold 100 fat lambs, receiving an average of 22/6 and has a further 600 about ready for the market.
