LEAGUE FOOTBALLER'S GOALS ' Leaving Patricroft Parish Church, Lancashire, where he was married recently, the Swinton Rugby League club's hooker, Sam Lee, took his place in the home team in their opening match against Bately. His bride, Miss Hilda Maiden, of Peel Green, who watched the game, wore the cluu Colours. She was attired in a blue dress and carried a white bouquet. Swinton won handsomely and Sam Lee kicked five of their goals by way of a wedding celebration. But that was not his only “distinction.'' Ho was the only home player to suffer injury in the game. In colliding with an opponent he sustained a lacerated forehead, and went on his honeymoon with a bandage covering three stitches, which a doctor had found it necessary to insert. ...
