Wanganui College Old Girls Association
The Palmerston North branch of the Wanganui College Old Girls’ Association held its first dinner on Wednesday
evening last in the Rosco tea-rooms. This function, which was attended by 40 old girls, many of whom had journeyed a considerable distance to be present, was the most successful and enjoyable yet held by the branch. During dinner, which was served at tables pleasingly decorated in the college colours (blue and gold), two toasts were honoured, ‘‘The King," proposed by Miss N. Grant (president), and ‘‘The School," proposed by Miss N. .Coup (secretary). Others of the committee were Mesdames Mylroi, Smith, G. Dixon, and Misses M. Rowland and M. Will.
Coffee having beeu dispensed, a very happy hour was spent in novel competitions and in renewing old acquaintances. The evening concluded with the singing of "Auld Lang Syne."
