Hon. Walter Nash’s Activities
CONFERENCE ON MIGRATION. CONCENTRATING ON MEAT agreement United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. LONDON, November 24. Hon. Walter Nash has been invited to confer with British members of Cabinet and departmental experts on the subject of migration in the next few days. The significance of tho discussions has been increased, owing to the British, desire for authoritative opinions from the Dominions concerning oversea settlement. The board’s report of November is likely to be extensively discussed. Mr. Nash, in and interview with tho Australian Associated Press, said he would bo most interested to learn of British views on migration and would also outline New Zealand's policy. He was at present concentrating on trade discussions with Mr. Malcolm McDonald, Hon. Walter Runciman and Hon. H. S. Morrison, in an effort to clear the way for a meat agreement between England end New Zealand. “The dlscus-lcn was most enlightening,” said Mr. Nash, “and I recognise that Argentine 'i firmly established in the British market, but am satisfied with Britain’s desire to give preference to the dominions, if possible.’*
