Steamer on Reef
FIONA HELD FAST United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. 1 SUVA, Nov. 24. The steamer Fiona stranded-on- a reef on the eastern side of Suva passage when leaving for Sydney. Received Tuesday, 9.50 p.m. SUVA, Nov. 24. With the aid of three of the Sugar Company’s tugs the Fiona started to move at 12.35 p.m. and it was thought she was coming off, but although she moved some distance she was still hard and fast on the reef when the tide commenced falling.
