Death of Old Settler
WELL KNOWN IN FARMING CIRCLES. Per Press Association. GISBORNE, Nov. 17. The death has occurred of George Robert Moore, aged 81, who, prior to his resignation eighteen months ago, had been chairman of directors of the Kia Oro Dairy Co. for twenty-five years. Mr. Moore arrived in New Zealand at the age of 21. He entered a drapery business at Napier fifty years ago and then joined a similar business in Gisborne, and branching out into farming became a leading Jersey breeder of the district.
