MOLESWORTH—MILES A wedding of unusual interest took place, on October 22, at Landi IvotaJ, Peshawar, when Brigadier-General A. L. M. Molesworth, district commander, Lan >i Kotal Brigade, was married to Miss Hilda Miles, daughter of Mr A. 11. Miles, 0.8. E., and Mrs Miles, of Wellington, New Zealand. This was only the second time in history that an event of its kind had taken placo in the Khybcr. For the benefit of visitors the normal Ivhyber toll at Janirud was suspended and tho route from Jaiurud to Landi Kotal was lined by all the Ivhyber Khassadars. A constant stream of traffic moved between Peshawar and tho scene of tho wedding between 10 a.m. and noon.

I’hc ceremony took place in the brigade gymnasium, the officiating clergy being Rev. ,M. A. Nicol, M.A., M.U., chaplain of St. John's Church, Peshawar, assisted by Rev. Donald MacDonald, M.A., 8.D., chaplain to the Ist Battalion Gamorouians, stationed in tho Khyber. Tho bands of the regiment provided tho music for tho servico and afterward at tho reception. Tho bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr C. C. Miles, looked most attractive in a frock of pale pinii spider-web lace with a spray of sweetpeas at the waist. She wore a picture hat of brown tulle and carried a bouquet of carnations. She was attended by her sister-in-law, Mrs C. C. Miles in a golden crepo frock with brown and gold trimmings and a brown straw hat with openwork-edge, and Miss Lindsay Molesworth, the bridegroom's daughter, who looked very charming in a gown of blue with a fine lace jabot and a white hat. They carried bouquets of yellow chrysanthemums. Tho popularity of the bridegroom's command at Landi Kotal was demonstrated by tho presonco of the Maliks of the Khybcr area presenting garlands. Among the guests also present at the reception were officers of the various Indian-regiments stationed in Khyber.
