High School Steeplechase

DANNEVIEKE EVENT. Perfect weather prevailed on Wednesday afternoon for tho annual crosscountry run of the Dannevirko High School. In the junior stecplechaso over o course of approximately two and onequarter miles the first three place-win-ners were; —P. AlcCuilock (2min.) 1, J. Dickius (3miu.) 2, E. G. Walker (3min.) 3. The fastest times were registered by T. Kearius (14min. 27sec.) and J. Eiddell (15miii. ssec.}. Those placed in the senior event were: C. Hales (simin.) 1, D. Nilsson (5-jmin.) 2, I. P. Turner (sAmin.) 3, W. Teahan (scr.) 4. Pastest times were made by VV. Teahan (23min. 33see.) J, W. Edwards (26miu. 32see.) 2, and T. Logan (26min. 36sec.) 3.

The senior event was remarkable for the Splendid effort of W. Teahan, who reduced the previous record of 25min. 45sec. established by J. Harvey in 1927 by 2min. 12soc. The course is about four and a-half miles.
