10,925 LESS THAN LAST YEAR. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Minister of Labour (Hon. 11. T. Armstrong) announced to-day that, on September 26 the total number of males wholly or partly dependent on the Employment Promotion Puud was 49,419. The following table compares the position at August 29, 1936, and September 26, 1936: Registered but not eligible _or not placed on relief, August 29, 27b0; September 26, '2209. Receiving rationed relief work, 15,569 and 13,945. Receiving sustenance without work, 25,994 and 25,744. Receiving full-time employment wholly or partly paid from the Employment Promotion i’und, GSS4 and 7511. Totals, 50,847 and 49,419. Decrease during tho four-weekly period, 1428. The comparison between the figures for September 26, 1936, and September 28, 1935, shows a reduction of 10,925.'
