Dahlias at Sandringham have made a fine late summer show for some years now r , states a London w T riter. This season they wero brighter and better than ever, and also in more lavish quantities. Soon the display of colour will be remarkable and beyond anything that has been seen in the Royal gardens before. During tho last few years of his life King George showed an increased liking for these flowers, and last year more were planted at Sandringham than had ever previously been the case. Alix in 2 cups flour and 1 teaspoonful Baking Powder, and lib Sultanas. Lastly add Stevens’ “Cathedral Brand” Essence and bake fairly quickly.
