Starr-Bowkett Society

The monthly meeting of the board of directors of tho Starr-Bowkett Building Society was held last evening, Mr. H. Findlay Wilson presiding. Other directors present were: Messrs. F. eacksun, B. W. Eupiey, J'. B. Gerrand and H. Christmas. Apologies were received Horn Messrs. M. A. Eliott and D. F. Bmiilie on leave of absence. Business was conducted in all groups. In group 4 a ballot of £4UU was wiredrawn iroiu tho P. 0.15. Bank, having been paid off. in group 0 a ballot ox *3UU was placed in the F. 0.8. Bank on deposit and a loan of fiIUUU was approveu subject to satisfactory valuation, in group 7 a ballot of 3*200 was placed on ueposil in the Post Olffce, and a loan of 2300 approved. In group 8 a loan of £2OO was approved, tieverai loans were reported ror sale and it was decided to nold ballots and tenders in various groups at the next meeting.
