Bulls
From Our Own Correspondent Bowling Club. The committee of the Bulls Bowling Club met on Monday evening, Mr. J. H. Perrett being in the chair. Others present were Messrs. G. H. Archei-, H. Stevexxs, S. W. Ingram, J. E. Walker, C. C. Price and E. V. Wilson. An apology was received from Mr. A. W. Araon. Opening day invitations were received as follow: Northern Club, October 3; Takaro and Feilding, October 10; Manawatu, October 17; and Foxton, October 24. Ax-rangements were made to send rinks to Takaro and Feilding gTeens on Saturday next. Mr. S. G. Goebel, hon. secretary of the Marton Bowling Club, wx-oto suggesting triangular games between Marton, Bulls and Hunterville. As these towns still have Wednesday half-holiday, tho idea was favourably received, and a meeting of repi-esentatives of the three clubs was suggested to take place when the Marton Bowling Club-opens its green. Tho hon. treasurer, Mr. G. H. Archer, px-esented a balance sheet for the past season which was approved and will be submitted to membei-s at the annual meeting on Tuesday next. A discussion followed as to the best means of increasing the club’s membei'ship and a motion was carried that it be a recommendation to the annual general meeting that first season players be admitted to membership at a fee of 25s for the first year. A number of prospective members were mentioned and they will be interviewed before opening day. Mr. A. Cole having resigned foxhealth reasons, Mr. R. Young was appointed cax-etaker for the season.
