Midway Meeting of Y.W.C.A. of New Zealand
The conventions of the Y.W.C.A. of New Zealand are hold every three vears and midway between a full meeting of National Board members, comprising delegates from the various centres, is held. The 1936 “midway’’ meeting opened yesterday and will continue its sittings until Thursday afternoon.
At the opening meeting, Mrs H. D. Bennett presided. Other board members attending are: —Dunedin, Mrs Mackie Begg, Mrs F. J. Ritchie, Miss F. J. Ross, Miss D. M. Lynn; Christchurch,,; Mrs W. Mac Kay, Miss D. P. Brodie; Timaru, Mrs Turnbull, Miss Hassall, Miss Lovell Smith; Palmerston North, Mrs G. G. Priest, Mrs E. C. Barnett, Miss P. Kindle; New Plymouth, Mrs A. Alexander, Mrs A. S. Clarke, Mrs Herdson, Miss M. Greenwell; Hamilton, Miss M. Saunders; Auckland, Mrs M. Rudd, Mrs O’Halloran, Miss D.. Dempsey and Miss E. Bennet.
