Woo! Boycott Hits Back on Japanese
industrialists seek government INDEMNITY, RESULT OP HIGI-I PRICES ELSEWHERE. United Press Association—By Electric Telesrapn.—Copyright. Received Tuesday, 2 a.m. TOKIO, Oct. 5. The newspaper ■ Asahi reports that, due to the Japanese boycott of Australian wool, prices nave soared elsewhere and so far this season Japan has actually bought only 60.000 bales of South African and South American wool. The worried industrialists arc proposing a drastic blanket reduction of output which, however, is unacceptable to the Government. Consequently, it is anticipated that the industrialists will demand that the Government substantially indemnify them for their losses due to the boycott of Australian wool.
