“TIES” WEATHER REPORT
Fine and Cool Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. A series of slight westerly depressions has been crossing the Dominion affecting principally the western and southern portions. An anti-cyclone is now approaching across the Tasman Sea, but barometers are again falling over soulih-eastern Australia. Winds: West to south-west prevailing but veering again to north--west later in places about and south of Cook Strait, force light to moderate mainly but strong in some exposed positions. Seas (New Zealand waters): Rather rough south of Cape Egmont and in Cook Strait, rough about Foveaux Strait; elsewhere slight to moderate. . Eastern Tasman Sea: -Moderato to strong soutih-west to Westerly winds veering later to north-west; seas rough in southern portion, elsewhere moderate. Weather: For the most part fair to fine and rather cool but scattered showers probable at times to-night in many districts, more especially of the South Island.
