CHAMPIONSHIP SINGLES TO BE HELD At the last meeting of the Indoor Bowls Association three further challenge games for the Dawick ferns were played, the ferns again changing hands. J. Tantrum and Miss Underwood drew with R. Scales and Miss Stevens, 8-8, and retained the trophies. J. Cox and W. Mears lost 9-11, while G. Hancock and H. Freeman won 11-8 against Tantrum and Miss Underwood after a very closely contested game. No further games for tho ferns will be played this season, which will end on 21st. instant with a rinks tourney for which trophies will be given. On Wednesday a singles championship will be held, the troplhy for which will be a small cup. A trophy will also be availablo for a ladies’ singles championship which will also commence on Wednesday.
