Makogai Island Lepper Station
XMAS GIFTS FROM FEILDING. Advice lias been re'ceived by Mr E. Way, of Fcrgusson street, Feilding, that Feildiug’s Christmas gifts to the lepers of Makogai Island require to be ready for despatch at the end of October in order to connect with the steamer. To date Mr Way has received quite a handsome supply of useful articles for these unfortunate, who look forward each festive season for some littlo recognition from the outside world to cheer them in their distress. Those intending to send in gifts should note that they must be received by Mr Way before October 30, when Feilding’s contribution will bo packed and despatched to Christchurch for forwarding on to Makogai Island.
