From Our Own Cur respondent The annual euchre and dance of tits Longburn Sports and Pastimes Club was held on Tuesday evening Jast. The hall and stage were decorated with gaily coloured streamers. Alusic was supplied by a professional orchestra and an enjoyable evening was spent by those present. Items, which were much appreciated, were rendered by the following: Nancy Conway, Highland fling; Phyllis Fallow, skipping and tap dance; Alessrs. T. Ternperton, R. Dillts anu J. Johansen, humorous song; Aliss Jean Scott, tap dance. A Alonte Carlo waltz was won by Aliss M. Gale and Air. T. Schwamm and a lucky spot dance was won by Aliss O'Connor and Air. Wills. Alusic for extras was played by Air. C. .Sherrills and Air. 1. Fraser. At a suitable juncture the president of tlie club, Air. 15. A. Searle, thanked those present and presented trophies and the winners of tlie table tennis competition, Air. N. .McClelland and Air. Al. Shirriffs (runner-up). Prizes were presented to Aliss T. Oliver, winer of a raffle and to Aliss B. Wilson and Jack Hill for selling tickets. Tlie euchre tournament was won by. the following: Ladies, Airs. Larsen 1, Airs. Hill 2; men, Air. AlcCoocll 1, Air. Cross 2. Air. G. Syversen acted as AI.C. Airs. S. Harper of Longburn, lias returned home from a visit to her mother of Lyall Bay. Aliss R. AicCann, of Taringamutu, Is the guest of Afiss Violet Zurcher.
