Prom Our Own Correspondent A very pleasant surprise party was held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. E. Dunn, who were married recently. There was a very representative crowd both from Alfredton and Kongomai. Among those present was Mr. Dunn Snr.. of Carterton, accompanied by his daughter Nancy. Dancing was enjoyed by tho visitors, music being supplied by Mr. A. Denton, Mr. T. Mason, Mr. A. Wake and Miss C. Evans. Supper was served and the health of the newly married couple honoored. Mrs. Gustofsen, who is an inmate of the Pahiatua Public Hospital following an operation for appendicitis. Is progressing favourably. Mr. C. Hodgens. who broke a bone in his leg, is now able to walk with the aid of crutches. Mr. H. Godfrey's leg Injury Is not as well as it should bo and Is still in plaster. j Mrs, Low, of Alfredton, Is at present an Inmate of tho Pahiatua Hospital.
