Tennis in Feilding

ST. PAUL’S CLUB MEETING.

At the annual meeting of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Cimrcli Tenuis Club, Feilding, on Monday night the Rev. A. L. Dixon presided over a fair attendance of members.

Members discussed at length proposals for tho improving of playing facilities, a proposal being advanced that the men members should devote time to levelling off further ground witn the object of bringing it in as an additional court. If this work were done it would cost about £SO to provide an extra asphalt court. As a temporary measure a clay surface could be provided. Tho necessity for a third court was urged by several members, it was ultimately agreed that a worCung bee be organised to put. in hand improvements and to recommend to tho incoming committee tho need for a third court.

It was .decided to hold the opening day on October 3.

Officers were elected as follows: — President, Rev. A. L. Dixon; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. O. .Bartholomew, A.. Duthie and Hugh Mclntyre; secretary, Miss A. Page; treasurer, Miss N. At oil - son; club captain, Mr. A. Gibson; committee, Miss B. Pearce, Messrs. Lcitch, J. Pearce and Kendall; hon. auditor, Mr. O. Aldis.
