Woman With 4 Split Personality '

MURDER OF INFANT DAUGHTER A woman who was stated by a doctor to have a ‘'split personality” was charged at Stafford Assizes (England) with tho murder of her 11-month-old daughter. The woman, Ethel Buxton (34), a pottery worker, who had been committed from Stoke-on-Trent, was found guilty but insane, and ordered to bo detained. Dr. J. F. Murdoch, medical officer at Manchester Prison, said in evidence that from his observation he had come to the conclusion that the woman was suffering from a disease of the mind known as shiophrenia, which was another term for the splitting of the personality. Dr. A. H. John, who carried out a post-mortem examination, said that when ho saw the woman she did no; seem to realise that ahe had done anything wrong.
