Eight Records Broken By English Racing Motorist

NARROWLY ESCAPES DISASTER.

United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.

Received Sunday, 9,20 p.m.

BONNEVILLE (Utah), Sept. 12.

Cobb, the British motorist, established eight world motor-car records to-day on the completion of his 24-hour run over the Serset speedway here. He averaged 150.1629 miles per hour. Seven other records were set during the run.

Near the end Cobb almost met disaster. His heavy Napier-Kailton skidded on two wheels and for a second a crash appeared inevitable, but he managed to right the machine and continue.
