Martial Law Inevitable in Palestine
MORE ARAB TERRORISM. AWKWARD REACTIONS ON INDIAN FRONTIER. United Press Association—Bv Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Monday, 7.35 p.m. JERUSALEM, Sept. 7. A lorry-load of British troops were attacked by Arab rifle fire three miles from Nablus. Several of tho troops are reported to have been wounded. Three Royal Air Force machine;-, in response to a wireless call, pursued the raiders, who escaped at nightfall, taking refuge in caves. Tho Daily Telegraph’s Jerusalem correspondent says: “As the Arab terrorists arc getting beyond control of the moderate leaders, martial law is expected shortly. Tile Daily Mail’s Karachi correspondent says concentrations of Mahmauds and other tribesmen are reported on tho North-west Frontier, where recently there has been considerable propaganda concerning the events in Palestine. It is stated that all the strategic points around Peshawar have been occupied by British and Indian troops. Additional bombers have been sent by the Royal Air Force to the frontier stations.
