Expensive Scenic Drive for Auckland
BIG GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Last Night. A decision to start within the next three weeks a scenic drive in the Waitakeres, to be called tho Coronation drive, was reached at a conference between tho Minister of Public Works (Hon. It. Semple) and Auckland local bodies. Tho work is estimated to cost £93,000. The Government has offered a subsidy of £78,500 and local bodies have to find tho balance.
