GENTLEMEN OF THE WEST
A certain Englishwoman has a very vivid memory of Texas courtesy. She was struggling with a cup of hot coffee in a small-town railway station, trying to ulp it down before the train pulled out. A cowboy, seated a couple of stools away, noted her plight, and came to the fore:— “Here, ma’am,” he said, "you can take my cup o’ coffee. It’s already saucered and blowcd.”
